"And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go." (Genesis 24:58)

Rebekah could have refused to follow Eliezer, the servant of Abraham. It was not an easy decision to take for a teenage girl. Imagine her leaving her family and all her childhood buddies. That choice would have led her away from her destiny and marriage to Isaac, the man on whom God has conferred the Abrahamic blessing. But she made a wise choice. Humbly and simply she stated: "I will go." It was a wise decision.

If the Lord tarries, a day will come when you too will need to take a step of getting married to a man or woman. But right now the man in your life that you are called to follow is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Will you go with Him? To fail to take a firm decision is to take no decision. When you fail to commit yourself fully to serving the Lord, you are rejecting the Lord. Imagine what Rebekah would have missed if she had failed to follow the servant. Greater honour are waiting for you in time and eternity if you also make the wise choice to follow the Lord Jesus today.

Challenge: Decide to follow Jesus today.

Prayer: Lord, help me to take the right decision in life.
