WORLDLY FRIENDSHIP
"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?" (James 4:4)
A friend is somebody you trust and you are fond of. As you go out today, please do not make yourself an enemy of God. Some people are ignorantly making themselves enemies of God today. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (Titus 1:16). Are you one of those whose desire is to water down the gospel to the level of the world? Enemies of God manifest the following characteristics derived from the word FRIEND:
Fearless: They do not fear or respect God. People who serve God fear Him.
Rebellious: They are disloyal to God and tyrannous against man.
Indulgent: They are permissive and exhibit a kind of laissez-faire attitude.
Evil: They are immoral, opposed to God and abhors righteousness.
Notorious: They have no reputation and are associated with evil.
Dangerous: The are mindless and are threats to peace-loving people of God.
Challenge: All enemies of God will suffer eternally.
Prayer: Give the grace to fear you in all that do today.
